Song I Believe and I trust in Hashem- Rabbi Ephraim Wachsman singing

I believe in Hashem

I trust in Hashem

there never is a moment when

that I am alone that I’m on my own

I believe and I trust in Hashem

And I understand that He is holding my hand

that every step is perfectly planned

He is holding me tight so I will be alright

I believe and I trust in Hashem

One day a ship was sailing the ocean on the tranquil clear blue sea,
suddenly a storm erupted with thunder and lightning mightily
oy vey oy vey, the goyim started to wail and to cry
the ships turning over we’re all gonna die
the waves are smashing over the mast the ship is not gonna last
oy vey oy vey, the decks are flooded both lower and upper
the leviyoson is going to have us for supper
we’re going to be ground to a pulp and served on a dish
we’re going to be turned into Gefilte fish
but on the ship there sits a Yid, calm and collected different from the rest
the others asked him what’s the matter with you
he just smiles at them and says:

A room filled with investors, bankers and CEO’s
They’re making the deals. We will control how everything goes. The shares will go up as we decide and we’ll make a fortune on the ride.
Oy vey oy vey, the great investor is suddenly has a very worried frown. What was meant to go up is now going down. How did this happen how could it be. What happened to Kochi Veoitsem Yodi?
Oy vey oy vey, I’ll quickly do a straddle or I’ll make a hedge. I’ll save my money from going over the edge. Oh that plan didn’t work. Ouch, it hurts. Oy vey, we’re losing our shirts.
But our yid sits there ignoring it all, it’s not in the hands of bosor vedom. The banker sits all worried and forlorn and the Yid sings Bekol Rom.

A big fancy Lexus pulls up. An important person is in there for sure. Inside there sits a famous doctor, the doors open by his chauffeur.
Oy vey, oy vey. He gets the reports and he reads them through. Theres nothing that can be done for you. hes sure that in Shomayim he’s heard and HKBH is following his instructions word for word.
Oy vey, oy vey. I think this and I think thus. Listen here we’ve got a boss, hes bigger than me and hes bigger than you and hes bigger thn all of us.

When a yid lives with bitochon and emuna, there is no limit to what he can achieve. When he trusts in HaShem with all his heart when he says ‘I believe’.
I believe, I believe. I believe that to HaShem its all the same. Kriyas Yam-Suf or one drop of rain. The galaxies, the stars or a mosquito taking a swim, it makes no difference to Him.
I believe, I believe. I believe that He’s stronger than all of my fears, that He hears my Tefillos and He counts my tears. Although it’s tough, He’s there with me, Lo Iro Ro Ki Ato Imodi.
I believe, I believe. I believe in the Eybishter is Kol Yochol, the Got Fin Rivka, fin Leah in fin Rochel.
The got fin avrohom, fin, yitschok in fin Yaakov. Fin Zayn Yeshios iz nisht du kain meakev
Oy vey, oy vey. When it comes to yeshuos her iz de mimche. He taught us Ivdu es HaShem besimche.
Trust in me, and you will see, lishuoscho HaShem kivisi.
Iz kave el HaShem chazak veyameitz, be filled with hope and be strong because when you sing and dance for me the malochim will sing along.

I love this song!!! I sing it to my 2 year old and 1 year old nightly when I put them to sleep. It’s our lullaby following shema. Thank you Rabbi Wachsman for inspiring so many (especially the youngest generation) with your catchy tune. Thank you for posting it here in its entirety. I only sing the chorus since I only remember bits and pieces of the entire song, so it’s nice to have the lyrics. Keep inspiring.
